Every Monday… at 6:30… for 100 seconds… We bang our Pots and Pans Across America. 

WHY POTS AND PANS?

1. Angry Citizens have been changing the world with the lowly Pot and  Pan for Centuries

• In Europe to topple Kings

• In South America to defeat even the cruelest dictators

• In Myanmar against a very vindictive military leadership

• In Puerto Rico to remove the Governor

• In LA, Philadelphia and Washington DC to protest during curfew during the George Floyd riots

• Heck!  Iceland even used Pots and Pans Protesting to remove their entire government during their 2011 Financial Crisis.

2.  IT WORKS!

• Pots and pans are some of the least offensive objects in our homes which is

• WHY they are so POWERFUL!

• Everyone has pots, pans and spoons

• They make A LOT of noise

• They can be used out in the open… or surreptitiously if the government is oppressive. 

• They have been used successfully even against the most violent of governments because everyone has a pot and pan and it is impossible to catch people.

• Sound has a powerful capacity to evoke both Joy and Fear. 

3. JOY

• Pots and Pans were used show Joy and appreciation for medical workers during Covid

• And who hasn’t cheered on their favorite team

4.   FEAR

• Sound can create fear in our politicians by an ever growing sound of discontent that they can’t ignore…

• Think about the banging of swords on shields in medieval times

• The chants of angry crowds

• They’ve ignored calls, letters, emails and townhalls… they will not be able to ignore millions of Banging Pots and Pans

• And the proven clamor of a large part of the population ALL banging their pans at the same time!
